A Trans Perspective on Resurrection

Sunday, May 5 at 1:15pm

Join Deacon Brendan at Bushwick Abbey on Sunday, May 5, at 1:15pm, for "A Trans Perspective on Resurrection." Grounded in the crucifixion and resurrection story in the Gospel of John, we'll explore a view of resurrection—and the resurrected body—that theologically affirms transgender and nonbinary experience. Come read this well-worn story with fresh eyes and consider a new way to see Christ in all persons.

The Rev. Deacon Brendan Nee (they/he) is a transgender and nonbinary transitional deacon serving as Associate Rector of St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn Heights.
